CHR/POP

The difference is that Pittsburgh supported a much more adult-oriented CHR for years before Kiss came along. Kiss is really pulling double-duty, acting as the Pop and Rhythmic in a town with no real Rhythmic and a really weak Urban station. There are definitely holes for a straight-ahead CHR or a real Rhythmic station. Before B94 imploded, Kiss and B were pretty close to each other ratings-wise (and Kiss wasn't as Rhythmic). Bad corporate moves killed the B, but that doesn't mean straight-ahead CHR in Pittsburgh is doomed forever.

Thank you for the positive outlook on Pgh radio! I certainly hope another station takes on CHR and 96.1 Kiss. That station needs some competition. <P ID="signature">______________

Amen to that brother! :) I think K-Bomb will go Ka-Booooom! by the end of this year. 93.7 will bring back the true CHR/Pop sound to Pittsburgh. <P ID="signature">______________
