CHR POPULARITY ALERT! EDMONTON GETS THIRD CHR :)

The CHR battle is intensifying in one of Canada's biggest cities, Edmonton, as Virgin Radio comes on the scene at 104.9. This marks the third CHR in the market following Hot 107, and 91.7 The Bounce. While Hot 107 remains one of my personal favorite sounding CHRs in the world, I find all 3 stations to be sounding good:

http://www.hot107.ca HOT 107 EDMONTON (Rhythmic Lean) http://www.hot107.ca/hot107.asx 128 K

It looks like this one is more Dance-oriented than their sister stations. And trying to up the ante against the Bounce and Hot, too.

Hot 107 is actually one of the most Dance friendly CHRs in North America.
Don't forget that Virgin Radio Vancouver is also pretty Dance friendly, and in general Canadian CHRs (and even Hot ACs) are more Dance friendly than their US counterparts.
