CHR/Rhythmic stations in Central Kansas

Is there a chance that we'll ever see a CHR/Rhythmic station in Central Kansas
(Like WiLD 94-9 in San Francisco)?

low chance.

who they gonna broadcast to? the corn fields?

I think a CHR/Rhythmic station would actually appeal to the teen and the twenty-something crowd in Central Kansas! For now, if anyone is interested in this music, here's a GREAT radio station to check out. KYLD(WiLD 94-9 in San Francisco. They offer streaming audio and their website is www.wild949.com.

it might appeal to them, but the advertisers are not there to support it....

Example: Wild 92.9 in Topeka before they were sold.

KEKS - Emporia's Hit Music Station kicks off November 16th.. They WILL stream.

"KISS 103.1, EMPORIA'S HIT MUSIC STATION WITH TEN SONGS IN A ROW ALL DAY"

:p

I used to program KJCK/Power 94.5 in Junction City in the early 90's. It was rhythmic and successful!

That was a competitive little market back in those days. Ongoing CHR war between Q104 (KQLA) and KJCK (Power 94.5)

Still is a pretty competitive market. KJCK is going up against a new CHR that was launched in 02 by Manhattan Broadcasting, KACZ-FM, Z96.3 The Hit Music Channel. However, both stations are now pretty adult leaning. I programmed Z up until July 10th. Fun stuff.
