Chris Baker is at it again

Yeah, he made Olbermann's Worst Persons In the World the other night when he and his partner were making Jr. High Sexual References toward Sarah Palin. Then made an inflamatory comment about Obama. It would probably go unnoticed here, but in a state that is primarily Democratic, it's hard to make comments like that and get away with it.

I'm glad he's gone.

Baker was an idiot here. Now he's an idiot up there. He's living proof that being a crude, drooling, and ranting moron is the fast track to stardom in today's radio world.

I too am glad he's gone, but it hasn't resulted in an observable quantifiable improvement in the quality of KPRC's on-air product. It still stinks.

As long as Michael Berry is running things there, KPRC will continue to represent the dregs of Houston radio. Dave Ramsey is the only worthwhile program he has, but Ramsey gets shafted anytime they need to move Rush Limbaugh aside for some reason on KTRH.

I have to wonder what CC programmers were smoking when they decided to put Baker and his stupid reactionary opinions in the middle of one of the most liberal radio markets in the country. Didn't someone have enough brain cells left to know that Baker would eventually piss off the entire town?

When he was here, you may recall the way he continually ridiculed Andrea Yates' insanity plea at her trial for drowning her five children. Any reasonable person could see that Yates was clearly suffering severe postpartum psychosis. Baker wouldn't believe it and claimed on the air she just wanted to get rid of her kids and was faking the insanity thing.

So I'm not completely surprised that he would claim Magic Johnson is faking his HIV condition.

actually, baker is a pretty common sense guy. his down home "cracker" delivery can make him seem a little less than sophisticated, but he's pretty sharp. funny how people who have a different opinion than radio industry forum pontificaters are automatically tagged idiots. is there a liberal in he house??

ramsey is entertaining until you've heard "get out of debt" for the millionth time. after that he's just the "get out of debt" guy. nothing brilliant there. as for getting shafted, no programmer in his right mind would shaft the guy with 14 million listeners weekly over a show that sounds like a xerox copy of itself every day. like rush or not, he's the guy with the listeners, so he's the guy with the power.

Common Sense? No. More like trying to act a bit controversial is what it sounds. Calling someone a "little Bit**" and accusing someone of faking a disease is not common sense, it is plain ignorance.

But again, there will always be people out there who are able to enjoy this non sense. Money talks louder than anything else in this world, and if he can bring in the audience, then good for him. It just scares me to think that there are people out there that enjoy this.

Does Chris Baker get the same talking points from Michael ("kids are faking autism") Savage?
