Chris Brown Removed From The Bomb Playlist

The Bee's 21Q Blog's Carlos Alcada has just posted an announcement from KBMB that singer Chris Brown has been removed from their rotation specifically due to the "recent highly publicized domestic incident between Chris Brown and artist Rihanna".

The alleged incident, apparently occurring on the day of the 2009 Grammy Awards, left Rihanna with fairly severe facial injuries depicted in a controversial photo published on TMZ.com - which in itself is being investigated by authorities.

I wish that Clear Channel would do the same thing, since they're a big radio mega corporation. But the boss will stick with his word & keep on playing.

Eh, if Rihanna isn't willing to drop him, why the hell should any radio station?

Because the stations that drop him don't approve of his barbaric behavior and don't want to associate with him or promote him in any way. Good for the BOMB and all stations that drop him,, at least somebody is standing up for civility.

Hopefully Rihanna will move on to a kinder man when/if Chris Brown is in prison. I also hope Rihanna has a long carrer while Chris Brown is finished, a modern day Ike Turner better known for his beatings than his music.

I'm surprised that KBMB is the only station in Sacramento to pull Brown from their playlist. Which brings us to KSFM and KDND. Have they dropped Brown yet?

And would any of these stations (or you or I) care if Mr Brown's punching bag was an anonymous non-celeb?

It would get nothing more that a passing mention on TMZ and it would be long over by now.

KDND pulled him weeks ago.
