Chris Cimino. Born and raised right here in Queens. A Mets fan to the end. He grew up watching News 4 New York and weather was his calling. For 24 years, Chris has given our viewers everything they need to brave the day’s weather.

And now, Chris is leaving WNBC to begin a new adventure-- which includes one of his passions, travel. He summed up his experience at News 4 New York:

"To my friends and family at WNBC, as well as to all the loyal and devoted viewers, I want to thank all of you who had a part in helping my career evolve here as well as for being there for me in the tough times.

I’ve been through many life events in my time here, some wonderful, some personally difficult. I’m excited about the next chapters of my life’s journey.“

Chris has covered major weather stories for us and NBC News. From Superstorm Sandy, to Hurricane Katrina and the many crippling snowstorms the Tri-State has weathered.

Cimino was also known for fill ins at Today.
