Tilden sounds like someone who used to post here until he was banned. I apologize if I'm incorrect. It is the first time I've heard Rea described like that though. I second the question about the planet. Does it begin with a U.
 
Yes I know. I hope he's not back. He's the reason I haven't posted much. Everything turned into a pissing contest. Oh well time will tell. Frankberry seems to be paying more attention the previous owner/moderator.

In most English-speaking countries, Nimrod is used to denote a hunter or warrior, because the biblical Nimrod is described as "a mighty hunter". In American English, however, the term assumed a derogatory meaning, probably because of Bugs Bunny's references to Elmer Fudd as a "poor little Nimrod". While this was most likely using the term's "hunter" sense, it contributed to the development of a sense "one who was easily confounded".

An alternative explanation of this sense is that it derives from the John Steinbeck memoir Travels with Charley: In Search of America, in which Steinbeck used the term sarcastically while describing an inquest that was held after a hunter accidentally shot his partner: "The coroner questioning this nimrod..."

All that is from Wikipedia. Also, may I add, "nimrod" just SOUNDS like a synonym for "dimwit" or "nincompoop," even if it, technically, is just a rather high-falutin' term for "hunter."

I am wondering how long he can go without typing the "H" word.

Happen to like and respect Dan Rea.

WBZ is in no way in that class.

Facts , logic and common sense unfortunately do not have great relevance on many message boards. Much of the time they just get in the way of some personal agendas to troll, stir the pot and make personal attacks. I never really understood how anyone would believe that kind of thing would result in anything meaningful.
 
Sounds like a perfect description of the line up on WRKO something you would never hear from Dan Rea on WBZ. He is a conservative with a brain which is more than the others; mere political opportunists with a microphone and a mouth who will say anything to attempt to get listenership.
Dan Rea is "the voice of reason" compared to the other station which is the "voice of fiction". -:)

The font is the same size as the rest, just bold. Its the font I choose it's easier for me to read. You're making my point about the general behavior on message boards. That said, howzabout not acting like an ****** telling me what do??

So, in other words there are 2 people on air at WRKO that you don't like because their politics conflict with yours....Kuhner and Carr. Funny, just like someone else! Most of us know that radio does not have to agree with our own personal politics.

(BTW....The moderator banned 'he who shall not be named' on: 11-18-2015, 03:29 PM ...your "Join Date" is 11-18-2015 Just sayin'...)

Hey, thanks for the correct spelling of his name.
Sorry I got it wrong. Never saw it spelled before and he is not yet on the WBZ radio website as of last week.
Thanks again for the correction.
 
As I'd said in a diff thread,I searched for his name and
found he was Rea's producer.
btw there used to be a reg. on this board who liked blue
font;last part of his screen name same as surname of
famous Cinc. Reds catcher.
