Noticed that former 790 talent Chris Cotter is now the dugout reporter for the NY Mets new network SNY, not sure if he's also doing radio in the NY area, Chris mostly worked weekend shifts at the zone but I believe he had a short full time weekday slot before the station revamped and became unlistenable during afternoon drive

I happened to notice him on the Mets Network as well on Wednesday night. You're right, he was on the afternoon drive "Big Show" with Dimino and Oliver for several months before 790's most recent lineup shuffle.

2 Live Stews is completely unbearable. I can't stand to listen to it beyond the daily intro which seems to be nothing more than a lot of barking, whooping and hollering! I yearn for the old days where we got to listen to real sports-talk radio during the afternoon drive. No one in town knows college football like Chuck Oliver and it is a pleasure to hear him during the fall with Tony Barnhart.

I've regretablly switched to 680 The Fan for my afternoon drive but the whole UGA-bias is becoming intollerable - but this IS Atlanta, home of the ignored Ga. Tech Yellow Jackets! I think Buck & Kincaid will be talking about the UGA gymnastics team before too long. Braves? Thrashers? Forget it! It's the GYM DAWGS that we all want to hear about!

I know that "2 Live Stews" is pulling in the numbers for 790, but am I the only one that longs for the days of the Oliver/Cotter banter to get me through rush hour? <sigh> Those were the good old days!

Are you kidding me ... when I tuned into 680 last week ALL I seemed to hear about was the Thrashers.

Also, let's not say that GA Tech is ignored, 790 is the flagship station and they have an alumnus of Tech as an afternoon drive host. You just happen to not like his show.

Even though I am a UGA grad, I cannot stand to listen to Buck and Kincaid for more than 10 minutes tops and most of that is because of Buck.
