Chris Krok moving to WBAP evenings

Chris Krok is apparently moving to WBAP evenings, replacing Laura Ingraham. I heard Krok's next to last program on KLIF, where he was promoting race hate by discussing Facebook photos of Trayvon Martin which have previously been proven fake. (Gangster drag, gold teeth, showing middle finger) even though teens posting stupid photos online is not a death penalty crime. Tyler Cox should be ashamed of promoting this homophobic bigot.

I have said all along that this kid is reckless and irresponsible on the air. Apparently we have reached that point: the point where no one with any credibility what so ever wants to work for this company and the minute pay they offer. Congratulations Cumulus.

Will anyone actually hear him in that time slot?
32 states can, the question should be, Will anyone want too.
Something tells me there will be a few POd Laura listeners.

Krok is far from what Id consider WBAP material.

He must have had a REALLY good contract or he would be on the street with Wells.

I'd love to see Gordon Keith get a news show in the Cumulus cluster. That may require a southpaw talker, but I guarantee he'd draw.

So where does Laura go?

Why would you put a screeching banshee on a 50kw blowtorch & also simulcasting in FM Stereo?

Seek or scan, either will do...

I'm telling you----he must have had a really strong contract. That, and if they were paying ANYTHING for Laura it was a waste of money considering what you can buy spots for in that time-slot on WBAP.

Uh....Longtime....

...The Wells Report....NewsTalk 660 KSKY....5-8 PM....

For the last 2 years.

You have a great show, J-D.
Great if one likes his daily dosing of doom. Manufactured outrage is exhausting. Despite his fear mongering, our economy is getting stronger. Grievance radio doesn't comport with American exceptionalism.

but it does sell ads...and that is what matters

In the immortal, and goofy words of Earl Pitts......"Ya know what makes me sick? Ya know what makes me so mad....". Why do some people on this board use the term "ads"? Hello! This is radio for God's sake. The word we use is "spots" not ads. I first went on the air in 1969 and have worked at, Hell, I dunno, 21 or 22 stations. Not once did we ever, ever use the term 'ads' when referring to commercial matter. They were always spots. Or am I missing something here? Have the consultants suddenly decided that a change was in order when it comes to terminology??

Back to the topic, it'll ne a fine day whem that hack Laura Ingraham is removed from the airwaves. She's nothing more then an ex Reagan staff member that cant let the man die.

And sadly on some stations, the spot remover button doesn't work! Been hearing one for a brokered show for months that no longer has that time slot OR is on KRLD! ;D

Got a txt earlier that Krok will be covering the primaries tonight. I'm not a fan of him but its the best I can get. Nothing I *HATE* more than election stuff going on and all I get is a daytime show in an evening repeat telling me OLD NEWS!

Even when local races were happening Mark Davis would have a roundtable with locals Alan Saxe and even Domingo Garcia! Now its like he doesn't want to do it anymore. And the other stations aren't any better. I haven't seen any change from KLIF, KRLD or KSKY. All they do is break in and say "go to the web site for more info."

And the only time KRLD FINDS its necessary to preempt "Smerconehead" is on friday night during High School football season!

If they are willing to put someone on in the evening and have live debate via calls and also cover local, state and Federal elections I'm all for it.

If Krok is they guy, we'll its better than nothing.
