Chris Ling & Dan the Van Man

It's been almost 15 years, but I'm wondering where these two guys are. They were in the Myrtle Beach market, went to Missouri (where I met them) and then returned to SC at different times. I know Mr. Ling once co-owned a station or two before selling them, but wonder if he's still "in the biz" or not. And what ever happened to Dan (can't think of his last name)?

(Were they at WYAV maybe?)

Anyone?

Yes, they were both at Wave 104 in 1991. I believe both of them went to some town outside of St. Louis to launch a station called V-100 later that year.

Someone told me there is a "Dan the Van Man" in North Carolina. Maybe Fayetteville? I don't know if it's the same guy!

Dan "The Van Man" Hoffman worked with Chris Ling, Shiela Sands and The Incredible Lee Edwards at V-100 in Warrenton, Missouri in 1991. I heard that Chris Ling later did arena announcing at Myrtle Beach ball games.
I do know that Dan came down to New Orleans and worked with us at Z-100 (KLRZ) in the mid-nineties when Z-100 was CHR/Rhythmic, he now resides in Pensacola, Florida with his wonderful wife and kids and does I.T. work for the government. Got a Christmas card from him last month and he is doing fine. Haven't heard from Ling in years.
