Chris Marino Is Back on Kiss-FM

Have you heard the news? Chris Marino is back on "Kiss-FM" 96.1, and he is now doing afternoons 2 to 6 PM entitled the "Chris Marino's Horny Driver's Club". Have you ever listened to it? I haven't had a chance to listen, so I'll have to check it out

Chris Marino is a very good fit for the 2pm - 6pm drive home shift. He did that shift at WLDI WILD 95.5 before moving up to Poghkeepise for mornings on K104.

What do you mean "great fit"? He's WAY over 40, and creepy as heck! He didn't do that well in afternoon drive before he was on star, and he sunk star when he took that on after mark bolger. He sunk on K104 and all of the other markets he was in. Oh well, I guess he had to take the last voicetracked spot in the cluster!

I don't know how Marino keeps getting new chances with his local track record. Then again the bar is pretty low these days. Mark Cooper is still on the radio.

Ditto.

Thankfully, we're getting some great HV talent back with Suzy Garcia on Fox radio in afternoon drives, and CJ is coming back - SOMEWHERE - he said he's got a big announcement in a few days on his facebook page. My guess is that they're getting rid of Coop on WPDH and CJ is moving in.

WPDH is a great station with huge power, and not that Coop isnt a great host, its that the PD lets that show be a train wreck. He comes back dry with the infamous "hey baby" (yack), there are no beds, they let listeners go on and on and there is no stability with news and traffic, which is constantly interrupted.

I hope that the great talent in the HV rises to the top soon. Its too bad that cheap, half ass talent keep jobs, but thats what fits the budgets.

Downhilldave, let me get things straight, #1, Suzy Garcia is not coming back to Fox Radio, she's up in Albany doing her show on WZMR's ""The Cat", and #2, CJ is not going to WPDH to replace Coop. It's not going to happen. I don't see CJ's announcement on CJ's Facebook page, and nothing has been said.

I did hear that suzy is coming back to the market - what's the format/frequency on FOX? Is that the translator oldies thing? It would not surprise me to see CJ land at Cumulus. He's a good personality and there should be a place for him somewhere on the dial. My question is - how could any qualified radio manager listen to Marino and CJ and choose Marino? Dumb. or deaf.

DisneyFanatic, it doesn't seem like you are privileged with the knowledge of navigation on facebook. CJ posted about announcing news on April 6th at 10:16 AND Suzy has confirmed herself on her facebook as well that she is now with 97.3/103.1.

Thanks! I thought that she was not going to "The Fox" but not "Fox Oldies", I thought she was on a country station in Albany called "The Cat". I guess she left about a week or so ago. What about CJ?
