Chris Matthews To Re-Up With MSNBC

From Politico.com:
http://www.politico.com/playbook/1208/playbook516.html

"To be announced Tuesday, or soon: Chris Matthews signed to a long-term contract at “Hardball.” Last night, he was being affectionately called “Senator” at Linda Douglass’ chic holiday party..."

I guess this puts the kibosh on any aspirations he had on running for the Senate... though I read somewhere that he was using that as a mere ploy in negotiations with NBC.

As for "Hardball" viewers... this news certainly has to give you a tingly feeling up your leg! ;D

Matthews is one of the most obnoxious hosts on television. He never lets his guests finish a sentence without interrupting them. If MSNBC wants to keep the guy, let them. But I sure won't be watching him.

Matthews or O'Rilley? Both don't know how to shut up and let their guests speak. I would like to see them interview each other,,, an hour of incomplete sentences and audio distortion.

So, "Amurrrrica" has to put up with him in their living rooms for the foreseeable future? :(

I admit, Chris' thick Pennsylvania accent sometimes makes it hard to watch. Although, to me, when he pronounced Barack Obama's name, it sounded more New England than PA. But again, that's just me...

I actually love the Philly accent (makes me nostalgic), but it loses its luster when spoken by Chris.

I really enjoyed the lousy way he and Olberdork covered the RNC convention.

Matthews kept saying things like, when he heard about Sara Palin's selection, her being pro-life, "That won't bring out suburban women voters."

I didn't see him saying anything similar when he covered the DNC event.

So as a reporter covering a political convention, it was his role to say what voters did or didn't want?

I'm glad he and Olberdork got reprimanded or demoted for such unprofessionalism.
