Chris Oliviero Named Entercom New York Market Manager

Is this likely to lead to any improvements, or reverse the damage on the programming side? For example, restore live news to WCBS 880 in the evenings/overnights, and dump the infomercials from the financial charlatan on the weekends? It has been disheartening to see Entercom dismantle this once-great news station piece by piece, and the timing couldn't be worse as they've accelerated it during the biggest news event of our lifetimes.

On a side note, there sure seem to be a lot of radio executives getting hired these days while the talent keeps getting laid off.

The market manager is primarily responsible for improving revenues, and the two examples you give wouldn't do that. My memory is that the infomercials were added before the sale to Entercom, and was more a function of weakening ratings at WCBS.

The former Market Manager is moving to the COO position as current COO is retiring. Not unreasonable to hire a Market Manager in the nation's largest radio market, even during a pandemic.
