i am sad that russo has left wfan but i am also excited that he will be on sirius radio. i think it's the next logical move for him. he has conquered local radio and is now going to go to a company that has over 18 million subscribers. that is quite a jump!

there is speculation that he is taking the money and running with it. what's wrong with doing that? that's what america's all about. taking the money and running away with it. however, i don't think that at this stage in chris' life, that money is the issue here.

maybe he was just bored with wfan and mike. or maybe mike was just impossible to work with. we don't know. we can just guess. yes, the last show seem to indicate that they got along really well - and are fond of each other but sometimes you just need a break.

so, good luck to chris and his newfound 18 million listeners!
 
18 million subscribers does NOT equal 18 million listeners. That's like the radio stations which market by saying there are 4 million people in their coverage area. They leave out the fact that only 50 thousand of those folks are actually listening.

Russo will have listeners. But not nearly as many as he had on The Fan.
 
And the 18 million is an exaggerated figure. Both sats include the new car, free 3 month subscriptions as "subscribers". The churn rate is enormous and the 18 million is more a marketing number, than a reflection of reality.
