After 14 years at The Eagle, one of Dallas' best Chris Ryan has been named PD.

The question now becomes," Can he return the Eagle to greatness"?? Man, I hope so. Chris seems like a good dude.

Chris has a good ear and an eye towards local product...Good luck to him!

What "set" of 14 years is that? Did he stay through Sunny and La Preciosa? Or did he come back when The Eagle returned? If he was the one programming KEGL through the Stern Years, he's on the right track. He knew that tossing in an infrequent Doors or Led Zeppelin song amidst all the new stuff wouldn't hurt a thing...and far as I'm concerned, he was right. Now if they'll give him some leeway where he can pull some songs from The Edge's collection (since CC was always so adamant about stations in the same cluster not competing with one another,) then he'll have plenty to work with. Perhaps Edge can go back to its original format (alternative, wasn't it?!?) and quit trying to be one-stop shopping for that alleged listener who loves his Creed and Green Day mixed in with Slipknot and Limp Bizkit.

Give him a chance. He knows his stuff and has great pipes. He's a good guy and one of the better CC workers.

Congratulations to Chris. I'm sure he'll do everything Vince tells him to do.

He needs to dump Lex & Terry and go with a local morning show that plays music and not talk.

If he's serious about it, I applaude him for making such a bold move.

I've known Chris since I first trained him in Mt. Pleasant, TX about 18 years ago and I am glad that it paid off. I hope that he can bring the Eagle back to its former glory in some kind of way. Congratulations, Chris...you're the man now....go get 'em!
