Chris Vernon leaves 730 Yahoo Radio after today

I'm sure he will end up on Q. They are desperate, need to do something to try and catch up w/92.9. Best move they can make. Good luck Chris. Welcome to doc in a box.

I knew Verno could not last much longer at 730. He could only pull the wool over his advertisers eyes for so long. Only a matter of time till he ends up at Q....I think all they're waiting for is another one of Rainman's check to bounce. (just kidding). Lord knows there's more than one over there that needs replacing. Bad thing is, Verno's no better than whomever he might replace.

I disagree, he's better than the other yahoos. However, this would be like moving up to AA ball from A. Rain Main, redbirds and Vernon. Not exactly an all-star lineup.

Lots of haters on this board.

I know, and I don't get that. I know Verno doesn't want anything to do with Entercom, but if he were at 92.9 to go with Hasseltine and Parrish, 56 would be finished.

You don't think that was just on-air posturing? If Entercom let him own his show and contribute a portion of his ad revenue on WMC-AM, you don't think he'd go?

Jerry Lawler used to talk about WWF/WWE like a dog until WWF hired him.

What about WKIM?

Why would they? Cumulus has given up or lost all of their Sports properties (Grizz from 103.5 to Entercom's 92.9/680 and Titans from 105.9 to 92.9/680).

Attract the younger (white) male demographic that might actually be fans of the political talk on the station. Vernon would have the room to do more than sports, and WKIM would have another face to pair with Ben Fergueson.
