All Access reported today that Chris Wheat has exited WFBQ and Clear Channel Indy.
CC is in the process of totally restructuring their radio division and Chris is out.
Details, anyone?

I have no info.....but........If this is true......this is the biggest news on this board in months. I can't believe there has not been a single reply.

Bring it back to the top.........maybe somebody will fill in with some info.

Rumor has it that Wheat is heading to Lexington, KY to manage the CC cluster.

That would make sense since the head of CC's Lexington cluster just left a week or two back. Plus, the marker manager for Indy is over Lexington as well.

Big loss for Q though.

From inside the CC executive offices, Wheat is out and not going anywhere in CC. They were pissed that he didn't go on enough sales calls. Word is that LeeAnn Brooks may not be far behind, but don't know that for sure.

Chris is heading to Norfolk, VA. InsideRadio reports:

Chris Wheat will run Norfolk for Entercom.
Wheat's the longtime Clear Channel market manager for Indy and helped get the Bob & Tom syndication into orbit. He replaces Skip Schmidt at the Entercom cluster that includes AC "2WD" WWDE.

What year was the song "London's Bridge is Falling Down" sung at WZPL in the hallways? I think it was sometime in the early 1990's.
