Chris Wragge back to Channel 2

The Daily News is reporting that Chris Wragge will be anchoring the 6pm news with Dana Tyler starting September 6. The article hints that there may be more changes coming to The Early Show. No word on the fate of Don Dahler.
 
It was interesting that during the Irene storm coverage WCBS-TV had Wragge out and about in the weather reporting from an SUV, and not sitting in the anchor chair, unless I missed it.

Since it was wall-to-wall coverage for a couple of days one might have expected them to slip him in somewhere.

Over on WNBC, network anchor Brian Williams did a couple of local hours during the storm.

It seems the move back to local anchor from the network is a bit of a demotion for Wragge. That CBS network morning show has certainly seen its share of hosts and anchors coming and going for years and years.
