Christina Applegate departs 'Up All Night'

http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/02/08/christina-applegate-leaving-up-all-night/

I think it'd be very difficult continuing this show without her, unless she was replaced, which is unlikely.

This likely just leaves 'Parks and Recreation' as the only surviving sitcom from previous seasons on NBC's Thu night.

And regarding Parks, not that it would leave NBC, but I think Parks following 'Modern Family' on ABC would help the show and complement Modern Family, much more than on NBC or following the lackluster 'The Office', and would fit in with ABC's family friendly show better than 'Cougar Town' or 'Subargatory'

Others are predicting the end of Community this season as well. I suspect it is likely to be cancelled, but Parks and Rec surviving another season.

Is she in the cast of Anchorman II ? Perhaps she feels this will revive her movie career.
Short of that it's hard to understand why anyone would leave a steady paying gig, for however
long it lasts.

Middle-tier actors like Applegate aren't Charlie Sheen rich, but they still make a very good living. She's no doubt a multi-millionaire, and doesn't need the money. Congratulations to her for deciding to do something she'd like better.

Perhaps it was just me - Up All Night fell totally flat with me - I just didn't find it funny, or worth watching more than once or twice. And I like all the actors in the cast.

Maya Rudolph might have it tougher finding good projects.

Christina Applegate seems to get supporting cast roles in movies and leads in sitcoms, even if they fail: 'Jesse', 'Samantha Who' and 'Up All Night'
