Christina Applegate to have double mastectomy

Christina is now “100% breast cancer free” and will have reconstructive surgery over the next eight months to rebuild her breasts. She’s very excited about that. “I’m going to have cute boobs until I’m 90,” Christina joked. “I’m going to have the best boobs in the nursing home.”

...you can't help but love someone who displays such an attitude in the face of overwhelming pain...

I always liked her legs best. I'm glad they were able to get rid of it, it'd be a shame to lose her to breast cancer

I'm a leg and butt man, too. I'd watch Married with Children just to see her in skirts and heels. I think her situation should be a lesson to others. Get checked and often.

Hold on here, hold on - I realize that Christina was (and STILL IS, judging by the posts in this thread....) the subject of much male ogling, let's at least act like we got a bit of class, okay??

What it gets down to is this - she was faced with a challenge, she did what she had to do, and hopefully her situation will be a wake-up call to others...FOR REAL!!
Andrea

Agreed. She must have a pair of stones somewhere, because, "boobs" or not, thats one nasty disease.

Her attitude puts her above hollywoods whiners over wrinkles n sags. Shes fighting a war, and I hope shes around for many years to win it...

There's nowhere in my previous post that could be considered classless. I said I always liked her legs best. Talking about the physical aspects there in a way that's not disrespectful. Then I followed it up saying it'd be a shame to lose her to breast cancer. Nothing could be taken wrong there. She beat it, unlike many other woment. She got lucky in that aspect that they caught and dealt with it in time. Now we can hope it doesn't come back later, or any other kind of cancer attatches itself to her. She is a talented actress for sure. Kelly Bundy was nothing like how she is in real life, even as a teen during the first few years of the show, for her to be able to play her polar opposite on tv showed she had some real acting potential at an early age.
