Christina Perri?

What is the chance of success for Christimna Perri's "Jar of Hearts"...my gut instinct is telling me it could be huge. Especially if the Rthymic stations pick it up...and I don't think it would sound out of place there...it would be a nice change of pace.

???

IMO you should be listening to CHR then, not Rhythmic

I think it could be pretty big on CHR though - especially cause the downloads are pretty decent

I was just referencing the rhythmic leaning stations that are on the chr panel...cause IMO those few stations are causing the whole chr chart to lean that way. There are some that are on the wrong panel but get their just cause they will play the occasional Katy Perry song. If they made a change to about 10 stations I believe we would see a fairly drastic change to the charts in time.

I like the song, and agree it would be a nice change of pace that CHR could use. Don't think it would work at more rhythmic leanings CHR's, but I think can would work at those that are more striaght up the middle or adult friendly CHRs that stress balence in the playlist. Currently #18 at KKOB/Albuquerque.

Completely agree with this - but don't think there's any way that Christina Perri will work for them - they're basically catering to the same audience that listens to pop-leaning Rhythmic stations

Seven weeks later....the growth continues.

Getting beyond just airplay at adult friendly and small market CHRs, but also spins at some major market and rhythmic leaning CHR's:

WIOQ/Philadelphia #4
KSLZ /St. Louis #12
WXSS/Milwaukee #18
KHKS /Dallas #31
KIIS /Los Angeles #49

Z100 actually just added it - and so did Hot 99.5/Washington DC - I can't believe it's taken them so long, but I'm still glad it's happening

I can understand what the post said earlier about it doing decent on Rhythmic. It has a sound similar to "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera which actually did get some rhythmic/urban play if I remember. If someone makes a rhythmic version with a beat underneath the song (maybe produced by J-R) then it'd get even more play.

Yeah...I always knew it would be a grower....But it continues to increase. I have to wonder if WXSS has been getting requests for it...since the other chr station in Milwaukee (WRNW) has been on it for awhile...I was surprised with WXSS's addition since it has been leaning even more rhythmic with the addition on WRNW to the chr panel.
