CHRISTINE O'DONNELL WALKS OFF PIERS MORGAN INTERVIEW

I saw a clip of that interview on-line and, to me, all O'Donnell was only interested in was promoting her book so she could make a few million bucks.

I don't think Morgan's question to her about gay marriage was out-of-line one bit. All she had to say was......I don't support it....I do support it.....I don't give a damn. Then she could have go on to spend more time promoting her book.

Personally I would rather read the local obits than a book by Christine O'Donnell. As I posted on my Twitter account O'Donnell is a drip in a leaky faucet.

I saw a clip on the news and all she would have to do is say, "I'm not willing to discuss that subject at this time, let's move on." That way if Piers had pursued the subject he would've looked like the idiot instead of her. I've seen lots of interviews where the interviewee simply says they are not going to talk about the question. Such as Jodie Foster refuses to talk about John Hinkley and when asked will say she never discusses it.

That's the trouble, in the old days agents would prepare their clients to handle situations like this

The problem there is that he was discussing her very own content and challenging her on it, which we are seeing very plainly means that anyone who challenges her content is called the troublemaker. She is still merely a little girl.

Do people in Delaware actually have agents? I am pretty sure they don't.

...one such instance was when Foster was on Larry King Live about a dozen years ago and King thought he could slip in a question about Hinckley; Foster refused before King could complete his question...

She had an agent, and a very savvy one at that. Again, we are not talking about that big a place. In a place that small it would not surprise me if the powers that be, whoever they are, did not just groom and use O'Donnell to get their man in, since they all seem to be the same party, picking whose turn it is anyway. That is just how it looks from the outside.

Anyone with a book is gonna have an agent. Again, it doesn't matter what Piers said, she should've replied, "I prefer not to discuss that as it always get's taken out of context, how about..." and immediately redirected his train of thought. Then if Piers kept on she would look like the victim.

That's the idea, to come off as sympathetic, instead of a spoiled brat. She came off like a brat who said, "If I can't have it my way, I'll take my ball and go home." I don't like her at all, but there are ways of handling almost anything so you can come off looking sympathetic, she needs to learn how to do this, if she's gonna continue on talk shows, or else she'll come off looking bad.

In the old days, whether you were an author, actor, singer, whatever you either trained for your interview or you simply didn't do them. Or you picked your shows carefully so the interviewer wouldn't ask you what you couldn't handle.

As the saying goes, 'if you can't take the heat from the bubbling cauldron, get out of the kitchen'. I didn't see the clip, I only heard it replayed on KAMP, so I didn't see the body language. Carson Daly referred to her as a "right wing lunatic", though, which I found amusing.

From the audio clip, I surmised that she was visibly uncomfortable by the question, and she wanted to pull a Sarah Palin and call Piers Morgan out on his "gotcha" journalism. If you write a book, include a topic like gay marriage in your book, and then get asked about gay marriage on an infotainment program you've agreed to go on, how can you not be prepared for that question? Reasonably intelligent people can think on their feet and either redirect the topic or give a short answer and move on. There is no "gotcha". He wasn't asking her a question about astrophysics, a topic which she probably doesn't have any knowledge AND she has been in the public eye for about 15 years now. She regularly appeared on "Politically Incorrect" with Bill Maher. How can she not have learned to think and react to questions and conversation quickly?

She was probably hoping to come off as more "take-charge woman in command of her surroundings," but like you said, it doesn't seem like she did that good a job of that.
If you go there to do a job (answer questions, sell books) then it don't help if ya leave the stage without doing your job.

quad, I don't think she is really smart enough to go there. She was just someone who got used to get something else.

If Christine O'Donnell wanted to DICTATE the course of the interview, she chose THE WRONG network to be on. She should've chosen THE ONE network that wouldn't DARE challenge her or call anything in her book into question

That network of course being FOX NEWS

I'm sure Sean Hannity would've loved to have her on (Does Christine even know that Sean comes on at the same time Piers Morgan does?)

JMO.....

Cheers :D

Yeah, you're probably right.
But just because she was a useful tool for the man once doesn't mean she can't never be smart, if she wants to stick around. ;)
