Christmas 105.5 Launches In Lexington

They are stunting with Christmas music while they prepare to debut their new, permanent format. They may debut it before Christmas, or after. Who knows?

It’s now trashy country
Well, that's your personal opinion. While I do think the Lexington market has too many country stations, I happen to like the tailored classic country format they're now airing on 105.5 (and for the time being, on 96.1 as well). I grew up on 90's-2000's country (in addition to pop, rock & hip-hop of the same era) so it is definitely my favorite.

I don't get it. Is it that you don't like country at all, or that you just don't like the mix of country on that station?

If your point is that country is not your preference, there is no need to demean music that lots of other people like.

So if you live in Connecticut how does a Classic Country station in Lexington, Kentucky affect you?

The station was performing decently on a lesser signal so it made good business sense to upgrade an existing brand to a better signal.

There’s way too many country stations in Kentucky

And, other than thumbing your nose at "trashy country" people in Kentucky, this affects you enough to complain on the Internet?
