Christmas arrives VERY early at WJDX-FM

Does anyone know whether Mix 98.7 is doing Christmas Music this year?

Also this leaves Oldies 1400 as the only station doing Oldies from now to December 26th

I believe 105.1 went christmas not long after halloween. As ususal with these stations, they are playing the same songs over and over. Of the thousands of good christmas songs out there, they only play maybe 300 of them. With quite a few newer pop arrangements that sound like trash.

Sirius XM added christmas music last week also. Holly channel 17, which is mostly the newer stuff mixed with a few standards. Also with quite a few dogs mixed in.

Channel 4 Traditional. This is more in line with the Christmas music I like. No Stevie Nicks, Mariah Carey or pop tart caterwauling. Just good old Bing Crosby, Perry Como etc.

What I'd really like in a christmas station would be an easy listening christmas format with some traditional songs mixed in, with some good orchestra and choir arrangements as well, and less pop rock and urban/R&B versions
