Christmas coming early on Q?

According to Q101.9 web site, Christmas music will begin on Nov 14. A week earlier than last year.

Why not, I'm already seeing Christmas ads on TV.

If the sales department couldn't sell it, the station wouldn't give up 6 weeks of their airtime to Christmas music. Logically, it's a favorable environment for retail advertisers.

It will be interesting to see if any stations flip their HD-2 signals or their Internet streams to Christmas music even earlier than that.
