So I've heard several different things. I heard citadel and Shamrock had Holiday parties for their entire staff even though Citadel is bankrupt now. And Entercom Had theirs but only for sales staff. And from what I hear from others, the air staff isn't happy about being stiffed. Any thoughts?

Sounds like Nero playing his fiddle while Rome Burns....typical of any large company these days....The large company that I work for took money away from us this year, and there was no xmas party, BTW this company had record profits this year. The upside is that I still have a job. The arrogance is amazing and there's no shame by anyone at the top....

It's tough out there; all we can do is hope for a good 2010!!

have a cool yule

citadel stations locally i'm sure are doing ok, Citadel corporate is the root of the problem. they had a lot of debt to pay up. ABC was a big part of the problem.

Corporate parties seem to be a thing of the past. Our organization (not radio) has over 800 employees and there was no corporate party, no bonus, no giveaways. Out team got a box of chocolates from our manager to share amount our 5 team members.. works out to about a buck a piece! According to management our workload is up 400% from past years... we're getting things done though and there's no "thank you". But we do have our jobs... "Thank you Mr. Scrooge... can we at least put another scuttle of coal on the fire!"

I bet the Lynetts are sharing lots of cash and prizes among themselves as they cut employees, use furloughs, and celebrate being the 4th generatio owners. Shamrock looks decent from the outside they put on a good show just don't enter inside the kingdom that's where it gets really dark and nasty.
