Will B106 flip to Christmas again this year? Does anyone think Clear Channel will flip Steve to Christmas? (Hinting a format change)

Why in the world would Steve flip? They cost nothing and get solid numbers.

Gordon chill! lol. It was just a question and with all that happens in this business this time of year one never knows. Format change would require money to be spent to promote with the start of first quarter coming up unlikely they would spend the dollars anyway.

EJ I would LOVE to see a format change and a shift to more (ok, "some") local elements.
But the whole industry is just depressing. Its dying right in front of me, and theres nothing I can do.
I know Ive got a terrible attitude about it. I apologize

I don't think there would be any reason to move WLTY to all-Christmas. Clear Channel is using it to block any growth of two other stations in town in part to maintain the 25-54 numbers of WCOS and WNOK which also does well 25-54.

I dont think WLTY has reason to go all Christmas either (but that doesnt mean they wont)
The Christmas audience seems about evenly split.

I'd think twice if I was WTCB
They run the risk of sending their non-Christmas music fans to WLTY (possibly never to return)

Meanwhile, WLTY can afford NOT to go Christmas - knowing their P1s that DO like Christmas may leave for a few weeks in December, but will return as soons as WTCB returns to their 6 minute stopsets afterwards

My two cents

I don't see the reason to take the classic hits station all-Christmas and not the AC. I never understood why they did that several years ago. That may be the only cluster in the country that would forfeit all-Christmas on AC to put it on classic hits.
