Christmas in July

I noticed that Family Radio, (yes, Camping's network) is playing Christmas music tonight, 7/25. I always look forward to their flavor of Christmas tunage, but it seems so unusual for a Christian broadcaster as conservitive as FR to do Christmas in July, which comes from the secular world of sales.

They did C'mas in July on K-Love, also, playing one C'mas song per hour. They were also doing a contest, for the 10'th caller each time they played one. Trouble was, they were playing versions of songs I was not at all familiar with, so by the time I even recognized that it was a C'mas song, I was wayyyyy too late. :p

It's probably more of an homage to the actual CHRISTMAS rather than an homage to CHRISTMAS SONGS IN JULY or SALES. It happens in July, just because it is July.
I kind of doubt Family Radio is doing Christmas in July just because it worked in secular formats. They're probably just doing it to be different, or to make you think of Christmas.
