CHRISTMAS MUSIC ADDICTS.....

G

Guest
O.K. so Christmas started on Thurs. 11/17. I have a friend who owns a
valet parking business in Boston. He had their valet attendants do an
unofficial survey of what was on each valet parked car. Oldies 103.3
with their Holiday music was quite popular. As was 93.7 and Kiss 108.
As far as talk shows go during 3-7, 96.9 was the most popular with a few
cars tuned into 680. Perhaps a new valet arbitron trend may be here? :)
Everyone have a safe and healthy Thanksgiving.

Re: "The Coast" goes all Christmas

is 93.3 FM "The Coast" - say gone until January.

Shopping malls are already piping it in. Go to GNC to get yer
vitamins and get subjected to ...Bing Crosby. No thank you.

I unofficially take a survey of which radio stations someone is tuning into while I walk into a store, etc. and it seems that Magic 106.7 is very popular as well.

Christmas is a wonderful time of year...
Loaded with bright lights and tinsel
The problems begin with canned or live jocks
Who declare..."our station's OFFICIAL!" ???

Not only does this word cancel out joy
For music that make listeners happy
It gives on-air morons another excuse
To sound INCREDIBLY SAPPY! :D

If you dislike your playlist of carols and songs
You certainly don't have to listen
But cut us some slack and just play the tunes
It's "badge wearers" who are only 'official!' :p

argytunes--

who thinks the word official should be banned from any sort of form of broadcast advertising effective immediately!

Someone needs to start a GOOD Christmas music station. It would play Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Bing, the Beach Boys, Springsteen, and the KINKS, but no Mariah Carey, Mannheim Steamroller, Air Supply, or Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer.
