Christmas Music Already Playing on WNEW FM 102.7 HD2

The station apparently temporarily dropped the smooth jazz early this morning. Sweepers indicate they are playing the classics.
My guess is that stations such as WLTW will do even better than usual with holiday music this year. There seems to be an increased demand for it during challenging times.

Can't remember where I read it, but I saw an opinion piece online the other day that said people may be more in the mood for serious/religious Christmas songs this year rather than silly novelty stuff (Grandma, Chipmunks, Frosty) or songs about snow and cold weather (Winter Wonderland, Sleigh Ride, White Christmas). I doubt the major radio chains will be doing much differently on their ACs that flip to ho-ho every year, though.

Smart move dumping smooth jazz.

That would be great. CD-101.9 was a great station. They could also use WCBS FM HD3. Would there be enough remaining bandwidth to put it on WCBS FM HD4?

There are at least ten Smooth Jazz streams on the iHeart app FYI. And three on Entercom's Radio.com app which probably run off the same playlist as 102.7 HD2. I'm sure you must all have a smartphone or a computer.

I am putting doubt that Entercom would split up the WFAN simulcast...<It won't happen.

If Entercom DOES bring back WQCD 101.9....Is it going to be marketable for the listening area?? How about billing and ratings??
