OK.. what radio station will flip to all yule music in the entire north florida market?
(in november)

faintly heard 94.1 (pensacola)

any other guesses? got just under 2 weeks.

I don't think that 1000 watt "exciter" will be on 92.5 or any frequency other than Double Uh OH's frequencies.....I think Christmas music would sound great on WYOO....of course it would have to be conservative right wing Christmas music approved by Lee Sullivan and Charlie Hilton (sorry you out of towners....you won't get the significance of that last statement)....(charlie on jennywoo's laptop)

yes rob there is a new station(104.3)coming TO THE PANAMA CITY AREA....not Navarre.....it will be a 6kw (class A)....you will not hear it in Navarre.

but, isn't there a law from the FCC Book of Rules and Fun that says every station on the gulf coast must be heard in Navarre, including AM stations in New Orleans that should be 150,000 watts?

I think so many posters on this board are finally getting some common sense thanks to rob, especially that
engineer faker multi-sexed dude/ette WOOCCENG dude.

New Orleans needs to just give up all or most of their stations and move them to Navarre. It's possible the FCC
would allow two or eight stations to broadcast on the same frequency at the same time in case every channel
is used up, especially the French Cajun formats. Could you imagine a radio tower with like 200 or 3,000 pretty
light thingys flashing on a tower like you guys have talked about, almost to the moon, so tall? Maybe it could
look like a holiday tree (FTLOG) as everyone switches to yuletide music (FTLOG, again)...You know Casstro's
about to really croak this time, so maybe we could turn off those stations playing that weird buzzing music
from the future.

On a serious note, prayers and thoughts have to go out to everyone in CA. Whew! I, for one, am thankful
that RI is around and I am safe and able to come on here and escape the nightmare unfolding out West
with a little light heartedness.

okaloosa (add to dictionary) has some stations that shut off at night RE: 104.7 and his annoying stereo hum drives me crazy when i DO listen to it.

(yes, he is broadcasting a stereo carrier.. want proof?)

A hum with stereo separation,that would be unique. I ran an fm with a mono board,and a stereo generator for several years. Nobody noticed,except for a few radio types.

are you sure your telescopic antenna is fully extended?

is your clock radio near something electronic?

make sure dial is tuned to 104.7.............

I've got to chime in on the "Stereo" thing.

Back in about 1970 I worked as an assistant to Ernie Harralson, the Chief Engineer at WPDQ (AM-600) and WRLJ (FM 96.9) in Jacksonville.

Our brand new stereo generator crapped out and we were on an old mono tube exciter while the new one was being fixed.

As suspected the programming staff was complaining about us not being in stereo.

After a few days of complaints, Ernie got an audio oscillator, set it to 19khz (kcs back then) and used a clip lead to connect it into the tube exciter.

The 19khz lit the stereo light on stereo receivers. We were of course still in mono.

Ernie begins to immediately be congratulated on getting us back in stereo. Some went as far as to say, boy it sure sounds great to be back in stereo.

None of us ever said anything.

there is nothing near it. the hum is coming from the station. (the station itself)
sounds like a ground loop issue.

and no, i'm not using a clock radio.
i've checked the radio for other stations for the hum and nope all clear.

so cut the bullcrap.
