Christmas Music in 2024

I know that the Holidays will be here before you know it, but which radio station do you think will flip to the all Yuletide music format this year(besides KOIT)?

Maybe 98.1 The Breeze or Classic Hits 103.7?

Your thoughts.

Sometimes other markets see earlier flips over an election year as a way to ease the stress. KOIT has remained fairly consistent over the years, with the Friday before Thanksgiving (this year would be 11/22) being their switch date. Perhaps they'll flip earlier this year??? Hard to know.

As for other stations going holly jolly, I'd see iHeart flipping KOSF over the Breeze. They have other Classic Hits stations in big markets (Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee) that make the move annually while most Soft AC outlets stick to regular programming.

Not sure why but Serenade Radio played "Waltz of the Flowers" from "The Nutcracker".

"My Favorite Things" didn't start out as a Christmas song and they played that one too.

Maybe KYLD should become the first major market CHR to flip to All-Christmas. I know that Hits 106-9 in Great Bend, Kansas does this every year.

Why would a Chinese language radio station (KVTO- K229DD) want to play Christmas music? That doesn't make any sense.

As well as a traffic advisory broadcast.
It's bulletin-board Dada. It's not supposed to make sense.

I just hope you weren't making a racial joke about the Chinese. Not funny.
Not at all. And, seriously, note that there are plenty of Chinese Christians around, including Roman Catholics - and the local archdiocese buys time on KVTO/K229DD to reach those folks. I have a recording of that.

92.5 the Breeze just flipped to Christmas

Let's see if KYMX flips early

Let's also see if 98.1 The Breeze will flip to Christmas.
