Christmas Music

can anyone help me?

I need a instrumental version of "Let It Snow" for a "Christmas in July" spot.

I know I've heard a version somewhere that has that 1950's kitchy feel to it. It might have been from a Bing Crosby song, I don't know.

Any help would be great!

I did a hard drive search and this is what I found:

Gloria Estefan - Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Sn - 76001315 (3:55)
Harry Connick, Jr. - Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Sn - (2:31)

I don't know if any of these are instrumental or have any instrumental parts you could use in them so I can't be sure. I loaded them AFTER Christmas and have yet to put them on.

If you can use another Christmas tune I have several Mannheim Steamroller cuts in here including Winter Wonderland (Which is the closest in my books to Let It Snow).

E-Mail me if you want them

Some quick research (on RealRhapsody online found these gems; depending on your client or format, take your pick)

Jazzy/traditional approach: George Shering/"Out Of This World) Solo, jazzy piano. Med tempo.

Jazzy/lounge-lizard approach: Harry Allen/"Christmas In Swingtime". Nice Organ, sax and drums/light cymbals. Med-up tempo.

Classical/Modern Approach: Camilli String Quartet/"Noel Noel". Cross between classical and swing-strings. Med-up tempo. Works for a country feel as well.

Brass/Quintet Salvation-Army: West Coast Enigma/"Yuletide Enigma". Interesting sound. Med tempo.

80's Jazz/Solo Sax: Kenny G/"Faith, A Holiday Album". Kenny G; what can I say?

My personal fave--> Surf Sound/Guitars and drums. BeachBoys-Surfaris style. Los Straitjackets/"Tis The Season For Los Straitjackets". California 60s Surf. Nice!Tempo-Med to up.

Jug-band-style: Only problem...you have only :47 intro before vocals, but, you can loop the melody or steal the ending and splice into a :60. The Christmas Jug Band/"Christmas Jug Band". Med-Up tempo. Fun and funky.

Hope these help.

remember, though... using copyrighted material in a commerical without the proper license is illegal. sure the song (lyrics and melody) may be in public domain, but the VERSION (performed by whatever band and sung by whomever) of the song you use may not be.

and never say "who'll hear it" cause you never know who is listening to your station.

in cases like this, i always err on the side of caution.
