Christmas Music

Is it time again already for the annual foolishness about this on the board? I'll get us started:

I predict KVIL will start playing Christmas music at 3:27PM on Thursday, November 16, 2006, and will stop on January 21, 2007 at 12:49AM. And I predict Memories 96.7 will come back for a month to play Christmas music beginning November 28, 2006 at 7:13AM and will stop on December 31 at 9:32AM.

wait a sec. I already asked this question a few weeks back. This friday is a federal holiday,A three day weekend. Early Christmas in store promotions are up,TV ads are running, now its time to start the BING CROSBY-MARIAH CAREY,FRANK SINATRA, NORMAN LUBENDORFF CHOIR,ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS,SEYMOUR SAM AND THE SQUEALERS and friends marathon of Holiday classics with some butchered by modern day artists on KVIL. This weekend is primed for it. They usually start on Veterans day. One week later its a toss up between KLTY and Mix 102.9. KLUV and the others will sprinkle in on Thanksgiving. CNET.com and PC World for the first time this year will give quarterly hour reports for the on line christmas shopping freenzy so you can avoid slow sites. Mall reports by the above mentioned stations plus WBAP,and KRLD on the day after Thanksgiving. You will hear how great the shopping is, and sales are 1.3%better than last years with lower gas prices, and be treated to a similar report on the 24th of December that Shopping is 5% lower than last years and retailers will be cutting prices the day after Christmas. Soundbites will pummel your TV on Thanksgiving, with such topics as Garden Ridge will be open, plus KMART and all Walgreen pharmacies plus feeding frenzies at local restaurants. You will be treated to the traditional Thanksgiving eve and sunday evening reports from DFW plus Love Field (with the Wright admendment revision mention 20 times) on how everybody and his brother are in a hurry to go to their parents home and have a few accidents along the way clogging the freeways complicated with long lines at the boarding gates plus the diabolical flight delays. So let me be the first to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving,Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah,a Great Kwanzaa and a fantastic New Year. So Much Holiday cheer we are entering.
