XM starts the same day as Sirius. I just checked their website.

Yes and no. They have already have started one of their stations. Holly on 103, but the rest start Thanksgiving day just like Sirius. I have both services, and Thanksgiving Day is plenty early for me.

Does Sirius create a new channel? I know the Starlite channel on Dish turned to Christmas last year.

Have they released their C'mas channel lineup yet? Can't seem to find it on the website. :p

From the Sirius Backstage website, http://www.siriusbackstage.com/
Starting on Thanksgiving day, enjoy three different Christmas channels, ranging from holiday hits, to country to classical.

SIRIUS HOLIDAY (Starlite 2) – Holiday hits mixed with selected traditional favorites as sung by Nat “King” Cole, Paul McCartney, Bing Crosby, Elton John, Frank Sinatra, Mariah Carey and many more, plus SIRIUS listeners’ holiday messages and greetings from Santa Claus himself.

CHRISTMAS COUNTRY (The Roadhouse 62) – Heartfelt versions of holiday favorites by country music’s biggest stars, including Martina McBride, George Strait, Alabama and Garth Brooks, in addition to some newer country holiday songs that are sure to become classics.

CLASSICAL CHRISTMAS (SIRIUS Pops 86) –Traditional holiday music from the Renaissance to the modern day, including performances of Christmas carols and seasonal classics by the world’s leading orchestras, choirs and opera stars, along with, of course, enduring holiday masterpieces such as Handel’s Messiah and Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker.

i also feel that christmas music starting on thanksgiving is plenty early for me. have you seen the christmas commercials on tv? ugh. way too early.

let me eat my turkey first before you feed me santa claus. have a jolly one.

Y'know, I think the whole Christmas music thing is way overdone... at this moment, here in central Georgia, there are two FM stations playing nothing but... then there are 3 channels on Sirius... and a channel on Muzak. What that means is that Dish Network subscribers in central Georgia have 6... yes, 6... different channels of nothing but Christmas music to choose from.

That oughta be enough for anybody... and while it's now past Thanksgiving, for next year, those of you who think the Christmas music should start at Halloween, or earlier, I'd like to point out that there are these fun little things called CDs, and if you purchase a few of them, you can suffer glad tidings and good cheer all year 'round, all by your little lonesome, and avoid subjecting the rest of us to it more than absolutely necessary.
