Who will start first? The River 105-9 or Lite 106.9? Who won last year?

If Mainline was smart they'd beat them both to the ship.. or clear channel.. dump WLRS or WTFX now for holiday music.. that is what happened when Clear Channel dumped WZTR for WZKF on 989 -- anyone remember the "holiday star"?

WXMA makes a ton of cash off their Christmas programming so I doubt they will flip WLRS to "All Xmas All The Time", unless Mainline plan on simulcasting The Max on 105.1. as speculated on this board.

WXMA doesn't go all Christmas... they use to run a online Christmas stream but not on 102.3.. the only 2 stations to do go all christmas are WVEZ and WRVI!

I remember the holiday star first it was she 93.1 then cc matthews flipped frequencies and made it she 98.9 and she 93.1 became the bull and then he flipped she 98.9 to star 98.9 and then the holiday star and then december 26 2000 kiss 98.9 was born. The second kiss in the ville. The first was kiss 104 back in 1991 with frosty and tony cruz in the morning but i digress.

You're wrong.. She 931 became SHe 989, then 989 became STAR 989 then the Holiday Star.. the KISS GM... christmas was never on 931... yup, Kiss 104 was 103.9

Do you really need to ask between WRVI and WVEZ who won in the ratings? LOL

They usually both start right after Thanksgiving...

I never said WXMA goes "All Christmas", I said their Christmas Programming Gesh.Main Line wouldn't put an All Christmas format on WLRS and compete with themselves. WLRS is an "added value" station in the cluster. They just give it away!

They have to give it away on wlrs there is nothing to sell there.A very bad product. Poor programming bad talent. If i owned a business i would never advertise on wlrs even if it were free. How they get any numbers is beyond me.I don't think mainline spent millions just to give lrs away as a freebe.

WLRS is added value? WXMA has about as much Christmas music as any other station does that does not all Holiday!

Maybe WQKC on 93.9, moving from Seymour to Sellersburg, IN will go all Christmas with their new
signal on top of the National City Bank Building in beautiful downtown Louisville.
Nice Harris HD transmitter sitting there. Studios being built as we write on the East Side in Lyndon.
Christmas in Sellersburg may say "Play ball..." Ho Ho Ho..... :D

Why would they want a 1.0 share like in Cinci at least with ESPN, maybe they'll have a 1.2.
They could pick up Dan Patrick. Or just leave the bird on and save staff cost....
Live & National 93.9. We'll see soon if they punch the ticket.

Is IU sports up for grabs since 1450 isn't carrying them right now? I wish we could pick up IU and drop WKU. I don't know why Louisville carries WKU.

88.5 WJIE will be all Christmas on the weekends starting at 7pm on Friday nights until the end of the year.

I guess 105.9 was the first to play Christmas music. But for some stupid reason, after the morning show they went back to regular music!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last year, and previous years, WVEZ began the All-Christmas music marathon at midnight Thanksgiving Day. WRVI normally started a little later, either 6pm Thanksgiving night or the next day. Last year, four station were playing Christmas music at a given time. WVEZ and WRVI were dedicated to it on a full-time basis. WJIE was all Christmas music on the weekends following Thanksgiving. WMJM played all-Christmas music on the day after Thanksgiving and every Saturday going forward.
