Christmas Music

So for those who live and die by knowing when and how stations will flip, and hope to be there for yourselves to witness it, have a look at the video below from a few nights ago showing when Music Choice did their transition. If it brings you joy, feel free to watch it over and over as many times as you wish:
Watch is right because there's no audio.

Then your computer and/or speakers are broken because I'm hearing it just fine. Granted, it's not terribly loud because it's some kook with a handheld camera standing there all aquiver and filming his TV in wild anticipation of that glorious moment each year when Music Choice transitions to holiday tunes so he can be there to capture it and tell all his friends and family that he was actually THERE when it happened (talk about bragging rights!) so it's not loud and not terribly clear, but there is audio.

Sound is fine on my computer. I just checked.

What I really want to know, when is Kelly going to turn on his out door Christmas lights! Before or after Thanksgiving?
That's what lamptimers are for, isn't it? :ROFLMAO:

I went to one of my two grocery stores and they were already playing Christmas music. The source of the music is "corporate", and they gave me a company name some time ago but I've forgotten. Although "corporate" would decide which of the formats to use.

Most grocery stores send pre-programmed music plus co-op promotions included with special subliminal messaging intended to curb shoplifting. Typically delivery is via satellite, or more recently, streamed from a particular streaming server to the store.

I found out more about how in store music is programmed in a job I had in 2020 at Kirkland's in the IT department. The stores were getting the music from Mood (Muzak) and it was fed from a server in the office that I worked in.

I haven't asked lately at the store nearest to me, but it received FM One at one time.

I went to another store in the same chain and it was the same garbage (probably mainstream AC) that I usually hear.

The store that was playing Christmas music gives me points which I can use to save money on gas. I have to buy so much stuff to get any points that I end up buying most of what I buy there. The only things I don't buy are what they don't have or what is cheaper elsewhere.

I was relieved a mall I went to was still playing normal smooth jazz. I think the Christmas music I've heard in the past was because Santa was arriving on Veterans Day. It's too complicated to explain why I was there that day and it's raining today, which is all I will say about that.
