I can't stand any of those sappy Holiday songs, they make me sick to my stomach.
Give me Christmas With The Devil by Spinal Tap or Holy S**t It's Christmas by Red Peters any day!!!
Dominic the Donkey also makes me puke.

I never much cared for sappy Christmas songs. The one I hate the most is the one about the mouse and the cat who froze to death keeping it warm. This song seems to be an Entercom special as they are the only stations I ever hear it on. Christmas shoes is another I don't care for. I like to be happy around the holidays, not depressed. I realize a lot of people are unhappy around the holidays, but if I were bumming I think I'd rather hear some happy songs. Just my opinion and if you like these songs, more power to you. I'll continue to listen for the traditional favorites from Ray Conniff, the Carpenter's, etc...after Thanksgiving.

I like to be happy around the holidays too and love Ray
Conniff's 12 days, Karen Carpenter's "Merry Christmas Darling"
and other upbeat songs. But the songs like "Christmas Shoes"
give you pause to think how fortunate one's life is, that's all
I'm saying.
