CHSN

It's free, over the air on subchannels in Chicago (WJYS/62.2-.3), Rockford (WSLN/19.3-.4), and South Bend (WNDU/16.2-.4). It's on the way but no channels are set yet in Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, Des Moines, Champaign, Paducah KY, Cedar Rapids, Peoria, Quincy, Sioux City, and Indianapolis, possibly without White Sox games in some of those cities due to MLB-enforced territorial rights owned by other teams.

Des Moines is within the MLB blackout zone for the Cubs, White Sox, Brewers, Cardinals, Royals and Twins! An old friend of mine in that city has been seething about that for years. Not quite as absurd as Honolulu being in the blackout zone for all five California teams, but ridiculous enough.

CHSN so far only one station in IL announced and hopefully Missouri gets it even if it's just on Eastside of state,Sprectrum to.
They won't get it because if they did, the Blackhawks and White Sox games would have to be blacked out due to being in Cardinals and Blues territory. IF they get on in Indianapolis, they will be required to back out Bulls games and they would have to black out Bulls and Sox games in the Milwaukee market due to territorial restrictions.

In MO no NBA/WNBA Team.

I was surprised by GR being it Detroit market for Pistons, Tigers, Redwings. Even when the Cubs were still OTA when WGN America stopped airing sports Cubs weren't on any of the OTA stations what would be the point for having CHSN in West Michigan on OTA? I get that West Michigan does have a lot of Chi sports fans in the area. I consider the Bears to be the defacto secondary market when the Lions are on late afternoon or primetime & bye which the Lions were on a bye this week. The Bears seem to be on either WWMT CBS or WXMI Fox17 even if Fox17 has the Lions game if CBS has the Bears they'll air the Bears game.

Although last year not so much WWMT said that they weren't going to air a Bears game in favor of a better match up same for Fox17 as well. Today I watched the Bengals VS Ravens game over the Bears VS Panthers which I thought was going to be a blowout for the Bears.

Lions play on Thursday.

And also taken off OTA channels in Chi, IA, WI, & Indy getting that deal with Comcast as of this past Mon. Surprised that Comcast didn't want it taken off in West Michigan although CHSN air Bulls, Blackhawks, or White Sox games not even the replays either what was the point for WWMT DT4 adding it in Dec of last year. Unless Sinclair got money to take the network it's a waste of space for it in my opinion.

Deja vu 1982. Jerry Reinsdorf screwed over the fans again. I hope one or more of the former OTA affiliates sues the living hell out of him.
