There's a good article in this month's Cleveland Magazine on Chuck Booms from 92.3 The Fan. It talks about his near rise in LA and his eventual return to the local market. A lot of the LA writers who first talked about him years ago have forgotten about him. I thought that was sad.
Suprisingly, there's no mention of Chuck almost going to WMMS, but ending up at Jammin' 92.3 instead. Ironic that he would now work at the same frequency again, though different management, ownership and format. Here's the article. Worth a read:
