Chuck Gillespie on WTVN

Was that former NewsCenter meteorologist C. Gillespie on for Connors this morning?

Is he working for them full time, or, just filling in?

Whoever it is, he sounds pretty good. I caught a little bit of the show...but didn't catch his name.

It's Gillespie. He's been on the last 2 weeks filling in for a vacationing B.C. He's doing a great job IMHO. I always liked him on 6's weather too.

While Chuck seems like a nice enough fellow...he in no way is deserving of regular status on WTVN...fill-in yes....full-timer no..

Right on Redsfan. He is OK...but that "soft and warm" delivery in the am is just not working for me. 70 something or not, BC is BC and I will be happy when he's back.

On a (somewhat) related note, I wonder if Herr Collins has figured out yet that with Riley in the am there is no place for anyone to vent after a hellday at the office? Live and local in the evening makes sense too, Brucie!

And I gave the 10tv folks a chance but this morning I heard the forecast for today and tonight...no tomorrow or Wednesday. Pagano would do a 7 day forecast and he was pretty doggone accurate. I need more than the next 24...I think most folks would like more too.

Have the first batch of Riley in morning gone in yet.
I'm sure a few of you get the full book.
How are his numbers vs Glenn?

Glenn did fairly well on that crappy signal (I heard somewhere in the 4 range), but Joel did beat him.

I think Chuck is doing a pretty good job in BC's place. He seems very comfortable and it seems like a better fit for him than a standard 3 hour talk show.

I totally agree. And it seems like Chuck actually puts a little effort into making the show interesting. I like that for a change.
