Chuck Moore

You mean WUGA-TV/Athens (come this Fall). They are transitioning from the former Media General CBS station to one with a student-run news operation from the Grady College. I figured Chuck Moore and the others would be gone by the end of the transition.

I suspect he is retiring. I don't know if he will end up back here in Atlanta or elsewhere. I wish him the best.

BTW...I saw NewsSource 15 a couple of weeks ago while I was in Athens (no WNEG...the hotel I was staying at blocked it with HBO). The students did a very professional job...except the weather reader, who was stumbling at every word. One advice for the coming WUGA-TV...farm out the weather segment to AccuWeather or WeatherVision (out of Jackson, MS owned by Edward St. Pe). The UGA students are capable of handling the rest.

Not so fast on that call letter change. We'll see.

No one knows if it will be WUGA-TV, WUOG-TV, or otherwise. Regardless, the format of the station will be 100% different.
