You can't TOUCHer this. What is the point of having Chuck Norris on the air at 4 PM to have someone
other than the hosts ask him questions that make no sense? Ross The Intern on the Jay Leno show
has more zing. They aren't going to get far with this stuff, though it's an upgrade over the past decade.

And please - no previous jocks or their friends defensively jumping in to defend the indefensible - that the
afternoons on WBCN have suffered since they lost Parenteau.

Dude, what is your problem ripping apart something that was just on the air. You have to get your sense of humor and music taste out of the 60's, 70's, 80's or whatever generation your humor/music is stuck in. Things change, people change, humor changes, but you obviously don't which makes you look like a babbling idiot. Come on man. They had some callers on the air right after interview saying how hillarious it was. Do you know about the whole Chuck Norris cult? Oh wait a minute, you wouldn't know. Your still laughing about Albert and Costello.
 
Adolpho did the interview. Just dreadful. They set Adolpho up to ask if the Oreo was named after
Chuck Norris. If he would be in a movie with the late Marlon Brando. You know the old joke, what's
the color of the white house?

To respond to the person who called it "hilarious" and the Chuck Norris cult - you can throw all the insults you want - bad radio is just plain bad radio. Doesn't matter if it was Jerry Trupiano last night making you think it was a home run against Washington until..."oh, he caught it" - which is what Joe Castiglione used to do all the time,
doesn't matter if it is a disc jockey who doesn't know who wrote "Yesterday" or James Blunt's "You're Beautiful" - Ed Schultz has his facts straight, Randi Rhodes has her facts in order, they are smooth, they have delivery -

Wait did you actually just post and ask people not to respond?...........LEt's also be accurate: Lost parenteau and gained ratings,..he had none Opie and Anthony were wiping the floor with him, not up for debate. mine were literally almost doubleParenteau's, DOUBLE Joe then again you would not know or understand that because you are not the audience, you're out of the demo chronologically and culturally as well.

AS for my take on Toucher and RICH I get the show, i see what they're doing, I do think they lean on the side of being a bit corny at times but they have energy and personality. Listening to them do everything that Dave Wellington would not let me do because he is an 'it's all about the music" programmer, who after two years of it being all about the music and him havinbg his head handed to him by WAAF even WITH HOWARD STERN as an anchor finally realized I was right when I told him he had taken all of the personality out of the station and hence has been failing ever since........... They finally realized that playing the same tight rotation doesnt get it in the era of the Ipod, so now Toucher and Rich are playing at best 4 songs an hour and that will probably become none if the show takes off.

Good for them and best of luck to them.

Parenteau's paycheck vs. Nik

There's no contest. It is too bad Mark Parenteau threw his life away like he did because he has talent, and he co-owned the comedy club Stitches, his undisciplined excursions got the better of him - but for you to compare your ratings with Howard Stern in the morning and you doing absolutely nothing that a computer couldn't do to real talent is like you not knowing who wrote a rock & roll anthem and trying to pass yourself off as intelligent.

Oh, it's your "typewriter" that can't spell. Got it, Nik.

So how much did Mark Parenteau get paid and for how long compared to your paycheck??? Fess up, Nik.
 
Mark Parenteau made more money than you. I didn't compare your show to Howard Sterns. How could anyone compare the imitator to the genius? I noted that having Stern on in the morning was instant ratings for anyone in the afternoon drive. You can skew Parenteau's ratings any way you want, he hit #1 more than a few times, did you - across the board? Doubtful. Parenteau was removed for payroll reasons, same with Charles and Ken, as you well know. And you probably know that I worked for someone close to Mark so I have a very good idea of what he was paid - not your lies, not conjecture.

OHHHHHHHH so now it was payroll reasons? for years you've been saying that" he had a great age discrimination case against blah blah blah",.....so now he was making too much money?. Joe you twisted old bat, I was there, which is more accurate than knowing someone who used to work for Mark, so you're getting evverything third hand at best and still through the Parenteau filter of BS. Mark was let go because he was beaten over and over again (and beaten badly) by a station that very few in our listening range could even GET he was losing for over a year before I even came in to do nights, and he lost the full year I did nights and was number one by a huge margin at night, meaning I had no solid lead in from Parenteau becuase O and A handed him his head over and over. Charles wasnt let go he was moved to ZLX, and Ken? economics had nothing to do with that.

Come on Joe,...I used to work for someone close to Parenteau, "I know a guy who knows a guy",...That's illogical even for YOU.

Dano you're right adn I couldnt agree with you more but when you're constantly getting attacked by one guy even when the thread has nothing to do with you and he finds ways to bring your name into it, you respond. I apologize if it's stressed anyone out here but I offered him a truce he refused and I cant let the guy just lie and lie slander me................. could you?.
