Chuck Powell's final words on the Edge

Let's give it up to the edge for letting Chuck say goodbye on the air, instead of Chuck just not being there 1 day.

Even better is the edge posting Chucks goodbye on there site so people can hear it.

Don't often get that from a radio station. While you may not like the show being replaced, you have to say that everyone handled it the best way possible.

First, I would also like to thank the Edge for letting Chuck Powell say those words on air live. Even better to leave it on their website.

An excellent speech by Powell. Hate to hear about a local guy losing a job. I hope he finds work quickly.

As I mentioned before, I never listened to the Edge, except when it was on the old station and just for Howard Stern. I will listen because I like Adam Carolla but once that show's over I will switch back to News/Talk or Sports/Talk because that is what I like.

Truly one of the classiest moments in Phoenix radio history. Speaks to Chuck, Nat and Bruce that this went down the way it did.

I've only had the chance to chat with Chuck a few times over the years and he really does seem like one of the good guys. Colin...well that's another matter - but he embraces the fact that he's an @$$#0!& - and I don't know if I've ever enjoyed sharing an office as much as when I did with him.

If there is any justice left in Radioland (and I have my doubts) these two will be back on the air soon.

I really think the Edge should have put Chuck and Colin in pm drive to have both big time drive time's covered with high personality. Back in Buffalo, The Edge 103-3 did that with their local show (Shredd and Ragan) when they added Opie and Anthony last year. Shredd and Ragan have actually improved their numbers and are competiing against some of the big news/talk shows in the market. Chuck actually did a great job at KZON in pm drive and nights back when they were alternative. Even though I like Adam in the morning, do miss the ritual.

Chuck and Colin in PM drive would have been great. Not sure why that wasn't offered and/or accepted. A bummer, really.
