WYJB used to be on top of WGNA at one point thats ABC ultimate goal to top WGNA by using another format they tried country using the cat 104.9 not successful
This new rock 100.9 is trying to compete with pyx and q103 what albany needs is a local classic rock station like WBPM In Kingston
People want do not want to here the newest hits all the time they want to here a combination of new hits and old hits.
morning shows should have two people to bounce off each other however some stations use the one morning show approach like LIVE 95.9 in pittsfield ma they only have one women doing the morning show and its successful with out a guy.
I can Remember at fly 92 when they used to have two afternoon drive hosts John Foxx and another women personality forgot her name.
I guess it's up to the general manager/market manager to see whether to put two people or one they kinda find out where the rating will go.
