Chuck Taylor

Saturday Night I Heard Chuck Taylor on WGDJ 1300 AM with Kelly Stevens on The Saturday Night Trivia Show!--He is the Guy who Answers the phone! He does a little on air Chat with her! Funny thing is he goes by the name of Gary on air! Kelly slipped a few times and called Him Chuck! What is he doing now? Is he still with Albany Broadcasting?

Chuck is also doing commercials on TALK 1300, did he take over for Pat Ryan? Chuck & Kelly go way back to the late 70's on 1540 WPTR. Kelly was doing overnights and Chuck was doing mornings. They use to banter from 5:30 to 5:45.

I worked with Kelly and Chuck at 1540-WPTR in 1977-78. Chuck Taylor mornings, me...Gary Evans mid-days, Brian Scott (PD) afternoon drive, Don Brooks 7-midnight and Pam Kelly all night. Great staff and fun at Fatso Fogarty's. Those were the good old days when AM was still King.

Earlier in his career, Chuck was "Gary MacFarlane" in the 1970's at WGBB/1240am in Freeport Long Island, during that station's heyday playing AC music and doing amazing local stuff and many remotes in Nassau County. I believe that he is a Long Island native. I fondly remember those days listening to that station as a teenager.

Sorry to hear that he is gone from WYJB.
