Chuck Wood now GM at Citadel Lafayette?

That's the story I've heard from two Regents folks. If so, it returns Chuck to 202 Galbert Road, where he was GM about 15 years ago, believe when Powell owned KSMB. Think this may become a verse when Joni Mitchell does "Circle Game 2010." :p

Wood is known to be aggressive and determined. But he doesn't cut the dead weight, he's just as clueless as Judy Ellis, Jim Beard, etc., etc.

All Chuck Wood needs to do now is recruit strong local talent (like KSMB had back during his first run as GM) to this group of stations and get rid of the syndicated programming during the week. I wish him the best of luck.

Chuck Wood is the General Manager at Citadel Lafayette, as of 7/20/09. As to the reference to a sinking ship, nearly every consolidated company has markets that do not perform to standard. And nearly all have clusters that are performing very well. (All things considered in this economic time we are operating) The difference is always the management, the people and their effort. Chuck had that cluster performing very well in the past and will do it again.

During his last tenure he had that cluster running like a well oiled machine. Hopefully lightning will strike twice.
Regent is right for the picking right now with mediocre talent and too tight playlists.
