Chuck Woolery, Game-Show Host Known for 'Love Connection,' 'Wheel of Fortune,' Dies at 83

Wonderful host on Lingo. Very professional on the air and always ready to hit a pun when needed. Love Connection became a part of pop culture for a time...and Pat Sajak probably wouldn't have been as famous had Chuck not hosted Wheel first on NBC.
May he forever RIP.

Should GSN do Chuck Woolery marathon with Wheel of Fortune, The Dating Game (both owned by Sony) and Lingo (owned by GSN Original) very importantly for everybody.

I don't know if Scrabble will get to air soon on Buzzr TV because Hasbro owns the rights to the show or Fremantle does it.

It would be nice to see lingo get to be aired on over the air tv like catch 21 is aired on get tv…. I would like to see Chuck back on tv.

On Love Connection, before a break, Chuck would tease that the show would be back in "two and two" before the apparently two minute and two second commercial break. Imagine that distant world where they had only minute breaks. You'd have to rush to go to the bathroom in those days and be back for the program. I thought the program worked well because of the way Chuck gave a low key approach to his interview of the contestants He was great on that show and on a few sitcoms where they wrote in a parody of Love Connection. I can remember seeing him on a few sitcoms as himself or someone very much like himself.

I've been seeing a lot of people celebrating this news. I understand why, but right now I'm just remembering his smooth style on Love Connection, which was always a good background watch.

Make no mistake: I despised Chuck Woolery's MAGA-fueled opinions at the end, but I won't celebrate his death. I will save that for one person. I loathed his politics, but I honor his contributions to the game show genre.
