Cianci, be respectful! Clean up yourself and your studio..

WPRO employees and all talk hosts are doing everything they can to avoid the Swine Flu... JD, Yorke, Allen, ALL doing the best they can to disinfect that nasty studio. But then there's GROSS SMELLY BUDDY. Buddy wears the same old smelly suits. He comes in the studio and COUGHS ALL over EVERYTHING...Barbara Hanes should talk to him and Ron S. should clean up after him. Swisher is all over the building because Swine is Serious. Can somebody please speak to Cianci about Hygiene?

ryan.

Cianci was gross and smelly 25 years ago when he came to give a lecture to my class at Brown. He also chain-smoked the whole hour. I can only imagine what he must be like at this point after all he's gone through... ::)

I remember hearing last year on Dan's show, how everyone on the Trail was getting sick. He went so far as to mention he sprays Lysol
and wipes down everything else in the studio.

Dan is smart. I would do the same thing. I'm a mad man about keeping things clean. I lysol everything at my place. Especially door handles, telephones and remote controls. I don't Lysol my studio Mic since I'm the only one who uses it. But if I worked at a regular radio station I would definitely spread the Lysol around. I now keep a small bottle of purell in the car for when I touch shopping carts, door handles etc... when I'm out. I have two bottle here that I use as soon as I come upstairs into my apartment. I have to touch door handles and elevator buttons just to get up to my place. God only knows what kinds of germs are all over everything downstairs.

I am taking every precation possible not to get sick. That includes taking ridiculous amounts of vitamins every day. I only get sick with the flu about once every 10 years. That I can tolerate. But I don't want to catch some super strong strain that kills me. At least I know that I'm doing everything in my power to prevent it. I won't even go near someone if I know they are sick. I went out last month and bought 5 face masks just in case either me or my girl do get sick. She got Swine flu over the summer. So I already have experience with this. It's not fun. I've decided to not get the flu shot though. I'm not comfortable with the risks. Especially after seeing what happened to that cheerleader who got dystonia from her flu shot. No thanks. I'll pass.

My advice is to Wash your hands a lot, constantly use hand sanitizer. Don't touch anything on your face after touching germs. That is how people get sick..... and just use common sense. Sneeze on the inside of your shirt and don't be a pig. I have a feeling that most peope who get swine flu don't do any of these things.

Be careful out there. It may be a bad winter.

The anti bacterials are very dangerous and plain soap is better.
Hope all there bring in their own wind screens!

This probaby isn't the place to debate about health. But I have no idea why you think anti bacterials are dangerous? The Pharmacy near my house even keeps an open bottle on the counter for customers. Don't think they would put that there if it fell into the "Very Dangerous" category. Oh well.... time for me to google this topic and attempt to see if your comment could possibly hold some water. Either way it sounds like Cianci should at least bring a few bars of soap into work with him.

Those Swisher ads are touting that they kill the H1N1 "bacteria", but the last I looked H1N1 is a virus as are all flus. There is a difference between a bacteria and a virus and if Swisher doesn't know the difference, do you really want to trust them to clean anything???

Ok enough science...

Swisher came and and sanitized the building a few weeks ago, also installed the dispensers and re did the soap and towel dispensers in the bathrooms. They're back once a week spraying something in the halls as well.

Is it true that they had Cianci stand against the wall while they sprayed HIM? Just checking. ;D

It's just a joke. Relax Cianci. Still the best Mayor that Providence ever had. But the Marinara sauce, Ehhh..... a little watery.

Over use of antibacterials can cause the weak bacteria to die but cause the stronger bacteria to become immune. This is why lots of people can't be cured with antibiotics anymore because the germs are immune because of using antibacterials too much. It does us good to be exposed to the germs. Plain soap and water is best always.
I currently work in the medical field where this is common knowledge.
