Buddy made a off-hand comment this week about having to adjust to a new schedule (he did not have enthusiasm when he said it) ....then Ron reminded him that they are not working next week and will be on vacation. Matt Allen is filling in for Cianci next week. Think perhaps Matt gets PM drive time and Buddy is bumpred to evening slot or is Dan going back to PM and Buddy to AM???
I know I for one (an avid talk radio listener) listen to WPRO a whole lot less with Cianci in PM drive time
All Providence all the time radio is a bore for those of us who don't live in Providence.

Exactly! You've just made the point Holland Cooke's been talking about here for YEARS!

If you're living in one of the communities in the Bristol County Mass. side of this market, do you actually care a feather or a fig about the goings-on inside Providence, or, for that matter, the inside goings-on at the RI assembly?

This is where WHJJ and/or WALE(IF they had any sense!)could counter-program WPRO. Done with news and topics from Seekonk out to Swansea, and with SE RI in there too. Become true REGONAL stations, and give WADK, along with WSAR, a run for the money.

New Englanders in general are very parochial.
As I lifelong RI'er I could care less what's going on in Fall River or Swansea and I'm not going to spend ANY of my time listening to it. Same for thousands of other RI listeners. The audience gained in Mass by RI talk shows occasionally discussing their issues is miniscule compared to the audience that would be lost from RI
Buddy's problem is that he works at a RI radio station but talks 90% Providence.
That does not fly with the broader statewide audience.
